Product Description
Oolong tea originated in Taiwan (Formosa) and is known as a semi-fermented tea. The leaves are crushed after picking to allow fermentation to start, then withered in the sun or by pan firing to stop the process of oxidation. The result is a tea with a sweet aromatic flavour which is very high in polyphenols (and low in caffeine) which give the tea its antioxidant properties. This is a nice gentle tea for the afternoon
